Dear customer,
It is possible that when trying to change the NameServers in your client area, you have received a message similar to: ❌ "The NameServers could not be changed, please contact technical support department" ❌.
Usually, except for isolated cases, this is due to the gTLD (International) extension domain, for example: .com, .net, info, .org, etc... ✅ It is necessary that in order to modify the NS, the domain must be previously unlocked ✅
However, national domains such as .es, .com.es, .org.es, etc... do not need to be previously unlocked. ℹ️ This is a security measure imposed since the beginning of the Internet, governed by ICANN (Entity that regulates international domains) ℹ️.
How to solve the problem
Simply access your client area, in the domains section: https://clientes.profesionalhosting.com/clientarea.php?action=domains, manage your domain and make sure that the domain is like this in the "Lock Record" section
Now, you can change the NameServers.
❓❓❓PD: We totally recommend that you reactivate the lock after changing the NameServers. Otherwise, anyone who has your authcode/EPP for some reason, can take the domain to another registrar without permission.
Best regards,
The ProfesionalHosting team.
