Profesional Hosting offers you PH Migrator, a tool with which it is possible to migrate your website quickly and comfortably.
This tool will allow you to have the freedom to program the migration without depending on our migration department and without additional cost for you.

But PH Migrator not only allows us to move our files, but it is also capable of intelligently detecting the type of CMS or Ecommerce that we have on our website, thus also detecting the connection parameters with our database. But PH Migrator does not only focus on migrating your website, as it will also offer you the possibility to create and synchronize the email accounts...

Prerequisites before starting:

  1. FTP data for the domain you want to transfer. (If you don't know it, you can ask your current provider), it is a typical data to manage your website.

  2. If you also want to migrate the email accounts, you will need the email host (incoming and outgoing mail server of your email client) and the credentials of the email account (email and password for each account).

  3. If you have not transferred your domain to ProfesionalHosting yet, you must have access to the control panel of your current provider to make the DNS change, or if you do not know what it is, once your website is migrated, ask your current provider to change the DNS. This is the final process and makes everything load with ProfesionalHosting, it is the last and final step.

How to access PH Migrator

Firstly, we must access our Profesional Hosting panel and go to our services, to be exact to the service we want to migrate.

Firstly, we must access our Profesional Hosting panel and go to our services, to be exact to the service we want to migrate. Within the package, we will have to click on "Move your website to this plan"

Once inside the migrator, we must click on "New Complete Migration" and we must enter the domain we want to migrate.

!!It is important that the domain resolves and is active in origin in order to carry out the migration!!

Once checked, PH Migrator will detect the IP to which it must connect, so we only have to enter the FTP user and password of the origin user.

Once connected, FTP login will start, so we can see and choose the correct directory where our website is located.

In our case, we will choose our website located inside httpdocs, so we will mark that directory.

It will automatically detect the connection parameters with the database, in our case it is a Wordpress, but PH Migrator is capable of detecting Wordpress, Joomla, Prestashop and in the future Moodle.

In case it is not detected, we will only have to manually enter the data. It is also possible to add additional databases, this can be very useful if for example we have a Prestashop and in a directory called "Blog" we have a Wordpress.

In the next step, we can select whether or not we want to migrate any email account. If we want to migrate an email account, we only have to select the "YES" dropdown, if we do not want to migrate any email account, we will select "NO".

In our case we are going to migrate an email account, so we will enter the mail server, email and password.

Remember that each mail server will be different depending on the company where you perform the migration, but if you have any doubts, you just have to check the configuration of your email manager.

In our case we are only going to migrate one email account, but if we want to add additional accounts, we just have to click on "Add Another Email"

In this last step, we can schedule the date and time for the start of the migration. This allows us to schedule the moment when we want our migration to begin. PH Migrator has a notification system to inform us about the start and end of our migration.

We remind you that in this first stage of PH Migrator, the start time is based on the Spanish time, that's why if you are in a different time zone, you will have to check the current time in Spain.
