Profesional Hosting offers its users the possibility of making parallel restorations of their VPS. What does parallel restorations mean? That for 24 hours you will have access to a clone of your machine with the date of the restoration. This way, you can access the clone of your server and extract the files you need.
To request the instance, first, it is necessary to access the Profesional Hosting client area.
Once inside our client area, we will have to access the "VPS Plan" server that we want to request the restoration for. Within the package, we will click on "Restore VPS Backup".
Within that window, we can find the copies that are available of our machine, being able to distinguish between the date, size, and status.
To request the instance, we just have to click on the blue arrow and the restoration of the copy will begin.
Once the instance has been requested, we will have to wait for one of the technicians from Profesional Hosting to respond with the credentials and access data. This way, we will have the access URLs.
As a computer note, we will indicate that the access IP will be the same, since the only thing that will change will be the ports to which this listens.
The access credentials will be the same as we had on the date of restoration, which is why the technician will not provide it to us.
When the technician has provided us with the access URLs, we can already access our backup of our machine. The message we will receive will be like the one you will see below but changing the machine's IP.
In the next message, we will see different types of access, remember that we have to use the one we need. This means that if we have a Plesk, we cannot use the Cpanel one.
Restore Files
Now we have different ways to rescue the files.
To do this, we will explain the different ways to extract the web files.
We can do this in two ways, the first is by accessing the Plesk control panel and creating a compressed file of the files. To do this, we will enter our panel and go to the subscription where the files we want to restore are located and we will access the file manager.
In my case, I'm only going to restore 3 directories.
It is also possible to download the files via FTP, for this we will have to create an FTP user in the server restoration. For this, we can follow the following tutorial on how to create an FTP user.
Once created, we just have to configure our FTP manager with the port on which the server has been raised, we can see this in the email that the technician will send us. We take the opportunity to leave you a tutorial on how to configure an FTP manager.
Restore Database
To be able to restore the database, we must first export it from the backup server. For this, we can follow the following tutorial to export the database and import it into our server. Tutorial
