To create products in Magento 1.9, we log in to the back office of our store and once there we go to Catalog -> Manage Products.

Once in this view, we go to the Add Product button.

In the view that appears next, we must choose the available attributes for that product, in case we use more than the default ones, and choose the type of product, among the available options, once the corresponding options are selected, we will click on the Continue button.

Now we have a page where we have to enter everything related to the product we are going to add, we are going to go step by step and tab by tab.

In the General tab, we must enter the following data:

Product name.

Description and short description, we will put a small information so that we can differentiate it when we see the product sheet in the store.

SKU (Reference Number) this number must be unique per product as it will identify it.

Weight of the product.

You can put that it is new between certain dates if we want to highlight that we have just added said product.

Progress, this is important, it refers to whether it will be enabled, due to a bad translation it says progress and it should be Status.

Visibility where the product will be seen.

Country where it was made, if you have the data since it is optional.

We go to the Prices tab, here we can configure everything related to the price.

We indicate the Price and the tax class, or what is the same, the tax that we are going to apply, we can also configure a special price for, for example, a promotion.

We continue with the images to show of the product, we can upload the images, as well as indicate the order in which they will be shown.

We go to inventory, here we will indicate the option and if it will manage stocks, it is important to indicate the quantity, if stocks are going to be managed.

In category, we will assign the categories to which the product belongs.
