To activate maintenance mode in Joomla!, we must access the administration of our Joomla! and go to System > Global Configuration:

Now we have to activate maintenance mode by clicking on yes in the offline site section:

And the website will be in active maintenance mode, we can customize the maintenance mode by modifying the parameter (Custom Message that appears in the previous photo):
