Install PrestaShop automatically in ProfesionalHosting
Let's see how to install PrestaShop easily in just a couple of clicks:
To do this, once we are inside our Plesk panel, we have to go to the top menu option that says applications.
We click on applications, and once inside this menu, we have several tabs on the left, where it says "manage my applications, featured applications, all available applications." We have to click on the latter, and all the applications available for the Plesk panel will appear, and in the search engine we select PrestaShop and click on search.
As we can see, the latest stable version available for the application appears. Currently version 1.7.1.2 is available, but it has not yet been released for Plesk because they are working on it. That is why the latest version may not always be available because, once PrestaShop releases it, Plesk has to adapt it for its auto-installer module.
Once we are here, in version 1.7.1.1, we click on the button to expand more, and custom installation. The next thing that Plesk will do is download PrestaShop to our server so that it can be installed later. This download may take a little while depending on how much PrestaShop weighs.
Once PrestaShop has been downloaded to our server, the next step is to accept the Open Software license. We accept and click next.
The next thing that will appear is the installation path where we want to make our PrestaShop installation. If we want to do it in the root of our domain, we would have to leave it as it is, but if we want to do it in a subdomain, we have to put the name of the subdomain. If we didn't have the subfolder or directory created, it would automatically create it, we wouldn't have to have it created previously, we just have to put the path and Plesk would create it quickly and easily. In this case, we are going to install it in the root, so we don't put anything.
The next step is to create an administrative password. We can generate it or put the one we want. We advise you to put a secure one for security reasons, and to have at least letters and numbers, and upper and lower case, at a minimum.
The next step would be to put the email of the administrator, name of the administrator, last name and name of the store, the language we want to use in the interface, and we can put a specific name for our database and a user. And, if we want, change the table prefix, or by default it will be ps_.
All of this is generated automatically. We can change it, we can modify it, and put whatever we want. The password for the database user will also be generated automatically. By not putting anything, all those fields will be generated automatically, so we recommend leaving it like that, which will be easier, there is nothing to worry about, and the password it will generate is secure.
The next step will be to click on install and start the installation, in which we see the percentage of our installation, which is usually done quite quickly, and all the files are installed, the entire database is created, with all its tables, etc., quickly, without having to download or do anything else. All of this is done automatically, simply, without the need for knowledge to create databases or anything like that.
Once it is installed, a window appears where we see all the data that we have previously entered in the installation, and we can even see the password with which it has been installed, where it has been installed, and a direct access to our BackOffice and to see the main page of our newly installed PrestaShop.
Once we have it installed, we can enter directly from our panel, as we can access it from our BackOffice. As we can see, we are automatically logged in, and the first time we access it, we already have our first welcome to the store.
