Protect directory with password in Plesk Onyx.

To protect a directory with a password, we must enter our Plesk panel and go to the domains section > click on the desired domain > click on password-protected directories > Add password-protected directory:

Two options will appear:

- Directory name: Here we must enter the path of the directory we want to protect.

- Protected area name: It is a simple name that we give to this protection.

Once we have created the directory, it will appear already created in the list of protected directories, we must click on the directory and the following options will appear:

- Add a user: Here we add the user to whom we are going to associate this folder with a username and password, so when we access the protected folder from the browser, it will ask us for a username and password, we put the ones we have associated with this user.

- Directory settings: Simply, the previous data of the protected directory and the protected area name will appear, in case we want to modify them.

Finally, once the directory has been created and a user has been associated with it, when we access it, it will ask us for the user's credentials to access it:
