GUIDE FOR CORRECTION

1. Go to www.nic.es

The current owner (or administrative contact) must access the domain name management system of nic.es with their identifier (Nic-Handle) and password.

* We can obtain the Nic-Handle of the owner by doing a whois search on the domain.

* Once we know the Nic-Handle, we can recover the password.

Once we have accessed the system of nic.es, we click on My Requests → Cancellation Procedures pending allegations.

Click on the reference - (click on the owner and you will see the error), usually an incorrect NIF or CIF.

  • Click on → submit allegations

  • Now you will see → Special cancellation allegations, you must fill in the data correctly.

***IMPORTANT TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT***

* If you are a legal entity (COMPANY) you must:

1. CORRECT: Correct organization name.

2. CORRECT: NIF/NIE

3. Other data that they consider necessary to CORRECT; phone number, address.

Once corrected -> continue and submit the allegations, attaching the CIF of your company.

* If you are an individual you must:

1. Check the box with the following information: “check this option if the data associated with the contact are correct, but the contact type (legal entity) is incorrect. Enter an identifier (Nic-Handle )of an individual with the same data as the current contact. Click continue and attach the required documentation.”

That is, they are indicating if you are an individual, but for some reason a company currently appears by mistake, indicate the correct Nic-Handle of the individual.

To stay informed about the progress of the request, you can contact Nic.es at phone number 902 010 755/ 912 75 06 15 , or at the address [email protected]. You can also find more information about the procedure directly on the nic.es transmission page.

We hope that this small guide will be helpful in this highly requested management, if you have any doubts you can contact us at 911 401 900 ext 3. (Billing Department).
