1. Enter the application menu on your Android device and choose the Mail application.
2. Click on the options of your Android email manager:
Add account:
3. In new account:
Email address: enter your complete email account, including the extension. Ex. user@yourdomain.com and select manual configuration:
4. When clicking on Manual Config, we are given the following options:
Protocol: IMAP or POP3:
Then we enter the username (email account) and password (email account password):
According to the one we select, we must configure it as follows:
IMAP:
Email address: enter your complete email account, including the extension. Ex. user@yourdomain.com
Password: enter the access key to your email account that you chose when creating the user.
Imap server: Will be like this: mail.subdomain.com, with subdomain.com being the name of your domain.
Port: 143
Click on Next.
POP3:
Email address: enter your complete email account, including the extension. Ex. user@yourdomain.com
Password: enter the access key to your email account that you chose when creating the user.
Imap server: Will be like this: mail.subdomain.com, with subdomain.com being the name of your domain.
Port: 110
Click on Next.
5. Outgoing server settings:
SMTP:
Server: mail.yourdomain.com, with yourdomain.com being the name of your domain.
Port: 587. (Make sure to have this port open or request its opening from your phone provider and/or ISP if accessing the internet through Wi-Fi.)
Security type: Select the None option
Require sign-in: Click and activate (checkmark) Require sign-in
Username: enter your complete email account, including the extension. Ex. user@subdomain.com
Password: enter the access key to your email account.
Click on Next and wait a few seconds until the Outgoing server check is finished…
6. Configure the Email check frequency to your liking. You can choose between the options: Every 15 minutes / Every 30 minutes / Every hour.
Configure the extra options to your choice, by clicking to check or activate each option. You can choose to activate or deactivate two extra options:
Send email messages from this account by default.
Notify me when a new email arrives.
Click on Next
7. Enter a symbolic name for the account (optional) and the name you want to display on your outgoing messages.
Click on Done.
After correctly following these instructions, you will be able to send and receive emails with your email account from your Android mobile device.
