First, you must create email accounts in the control panel.
Once created, open the Windows Mail program and follow these steps to configure it:

  • From the menu, select Tools and then Accounts...

  • In the window that appears, select Add to add the email account.

  • Select Email Account and click Next.

  • Enter the name you want the recipient to see when you send an email.

Once completed, select Continue to proceed.

  • Enter the email account you want to configure.

  • Configure the incoming and outgoing mail server in POP3 as follows.

Incoming mail server (POP3 or IMAP): mail.mydomain.com.
Outgoing mail server name (SMTP): mail.mydomain.com
Select the "My outgoing server requires authentication" checkbox.

  • Fill out the following form indicating the email account you are configuring as well as its password.

  • With this, the email account is configured in Windows Mail for Windows Vista.
