Downloading Magento
Magento, like other E-commerce platforms, can be manually installed. As with most E-commerce platforms, the files must be downloaded from the official website. First, we go to https://magento.com/tech-resources/download.
As soon as we access it, we can select the version of Magento we want to download.
To start the download, we will have to register with Magento. To do this, we will have to enter a series of data that is requested of us.
After completing the previous steps, we can proceed to download our Magento. When the download is finished, we will have to upload this file to our domain and decompress it. To do this, we first access our hosting panel and upload the file to the root of our domain. Then we decompress the file in the root of the domain and we would have completed the first step.
Installing Magento
After uploading and decompressing the files, we have to access our domain to start the installation. As soon as we access it, a window appears with the terms of use and a button to move on to the next installation step.
In the next window, a check will be made of the requirements to install our Magento:
When the check process begins, if all the parameters are correct, Magento will indicate it to us and we can proceed with the installation process.
In the next step, we will have to create the database that our Magento will use and establish the connection parameters with it.
In the third step, we can select the URL where we want to install our Magento, as well as the access directory to the administration panel of our store.
In the fourth step, we can select our store's time zone, language, and currency.
The last step allows us to choose the fields for our administrator account.
Finally, we can install our store!
When the installation begins, a progress bar appears, showing us the percentage of the installation of our store.
When this process is finished "it can take quite a few minutes" our store will be installed and we can access it.
