Public domain registration entities require that domain registration terms and conditions include truthful and authentic data for the domains. To achieve this, they send an email requesting confirmation of said contacts. If the customer does not receive or click on this verification link within the first 15 days after receiving said email, the domain enters a clienthold state or temporary suspension until the domain owner's data is verified correctly.
