Mail redirection is a widespread bad practice:

A forward redirects received emails to another destination. This implies that the received content is sent again with the risk of it being spam or worse.

For this reason, it is highly advisable to have an incoming antivirus, to avoid forwarding these emails that can damage your reputation.

If a redirection does not have a configured mailbox (storage), and cannot be delivered to the final destination, the email is lost.
If a redirection has configured storage, the email is stored, but if it cannot be delivered to the final destination, it will generate SPAM known as backscatter.
If a redirection receives an email with a virus, it tries to forward it to the destination as is, which can harm the reputation of your domain, your IP, or both.
If you have our SMTP Relay service, the forwarding of spam, phishing or virus according to the second point mentioned above will be blocked, causing a blockage for a certain time depending on the severity of the offense. According to the first point, these blocked emails will be lost.
As you can see, redirection has many drawbacks.

To avoid this problem, we recommend configuring the destination to collect the email, completely avoiding our Relay service and the possibility of losing the email.
